Aoi Raijū
The Blue Lightning Beast.
Backstory
Godblood. How quaint, for a rebel's heart.
Aoi does not come from any known continent or country on the planet. Her homeland of Shonan Aska is locked away from the rest of the Earth via harsh seas and a supernatural barrier of fog leading to her homeland's own pocket dimension. In an uncharted mystery in the Pacific Ocean, the country of Shonan Aska is only accesible through a very specific trade route only known by a handful of merchant ships.
Along with exotic fruits, palaces of gold, and a unique oriental culture nearly untouched by the outside world, Shonan Aska's pride lies within the Gold Dragon Dojo. Several clans live in the secretive land of Shonan Aska, but the Raijū clan specifically thrives inside of the Dojo. The Raijū clan is made up of powerful fighters, as if their lives solely depended on strength and skill. Aoi was no exception to this trend.
From a very young age, Aoi grasped the concepts of fighting and the respect of her elders rather quickly. A terrific fighter and a bubbly member of the clan, she was chosen to inherit the Raijū clan's version of a family heirloom. She was to become a hero of lightning, an Empress of Nen.
At only twelve years old, Aoi underwent a ritual to imbue a literal thunder god's divine blood to pump as her own. The process took hours, and caused unimaginable pain. The young girl, whose skin was fair, eyes brown, and whose hair was a raven black, began to change dramatically as the ritual progressed. Her skin became like a pale, glowing blue. Her eyes turned a bright blue, like lightning itself. And her hair grew longer and became a purplish pinkish color, as if radiating godly power in its own right.
After recovering from the ordeal, the effects of the successful ritual became apparent almost immediately. Her strikes were harder, her movement and reactions were faster, and her body moved like lightning on the battlefield. She outclassed her former equals, and only grew more powerful from there on out.
Aside from her fighting skills, Aoi didn't have much to do for entertainment. Most of her life was in this Dojo, and the only time she experienced the outside world was through VHS tapes of movies traders brought from foreign lands.
Aoi wouldn't even be able to leave Shonan Aska until she turned 18, where she went off to live in central Japan for a year, only to return to her homeland for more training for the next four. Since turning 22, Aoi has been with the rest of the Earth, and has been making use of her time experiencing the world she's been hidden away from.
Appearance
Aoi is currently 23 years old. She is a very fit, athletic woman who stands at about 5'10 (178cm). Her wild hair is of a distinct purple color and reaches all the way down past her lower back. Her eyes are a pale blue, nearly the same color as her sclera under the right lighting.
Aoi's skin is fair and contains a supernatural, blue hue to it. It's as if instead of a pinkish undertone, hers is a deep blue color.
Aoi's outfits consist of the same articles of clothing. A black, leather military hat with a gold button and gold trim. A black, leather top that exposes her shoulders and midriff. Black leather arm sleeves that cover her entire forearm and half her biceps. Black leather pants, usually ripped. And black combat boots with four inch heels. There's a very distinct color theme, really.
As of recently, she's undergone training to hone her body and become physically stronger than she's ever been in the past. Complete with toned abs, larger muscles, and broader shoulders, her general demeanor has been given a rather intimidating upgrade.
Lately, she can be seen wearing more variety of clothing, though she really prefers her darker colors.
Abilities
Aoi's main, signature abilities lie in her masterful ability to manipulate light and lightning within the influence of her own Ki and the god blood in her veins. She's an incredibly powerful fighter both physically and spiritually, able to hold her own in endurance and strength while also exhibiting unparalleled control and versatility with her Ki.
Lifting Strength: Though it's never been tested to her full capacity, she has been seen to demonstrate above Class 100 lifting strength, at one point lifting a military tank and throwing it to the side.
Destructive Capabilities: Aoi has been shown to demonstrate Nen enhanced abilities to reach destructive force to level an island.
Speed: Aoi can easily reach massively hypersonic speeds, and her Ultimate Raijū Aspect allows her to top out at 0.33 c (1/3rd the speed of light) or 220,000,000 mph.
Notable Abilities:
Tiger Flash: Creature of Nen - Aoi focuses her energy into her limbs, creating an immense pressure of Ki around her body. Her hands glow with power, and that power produces a tiger-like roar every time it is released. With every strike, her attacks are accentuated and are given increased range through energy projections taking on the form of pouncing tigers of light.
Raging Light Dragon - As shown in the picture above, Aoi amasses a devastating amount of energy into a physical shape, a serpentine dragon of lightning that she controls to wreak havoc on her target. Able to bite and thrash like an actual animal, it can also be detonated to release its stored energy as a bright explosion of Ki.
Grand Roar - Similar to her Tiger Flash, Aoi focuses her energy into her body. However, all this energy is transferred to her core, which is then violently released outward in a blast of light and invisible shockwaves. While able to deal some serious damage, this technique is mainly used to stun opponents or repel them from close distances.
Raijū Aspect - To become the Blue Lightning Beast, one must become lightning, herself. Aoi channels energy all throughout her body, causing her skin to radiate a bright blue while her eyes flash a solid white. Electricity seems to jump off of her skin into the air in this form. This technique transcends her physical prowess and causes her body to react like her own Ki, itself. Her speed and power dramatically increase, Aoi nearly able to dash around at the speed of lightning strikes. Her senses and reflexes are greatly enhanced in this state, as if her body can instinctively react to wavelengths of light energy while performing this technique.
